Classic Deluxe (v1.5) by DeluxeGamer705
From: Original character made by me :D
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This is an older self-insert I made before I redesigned my persona due to some issues that caused a few people to get triggered over petty
reasons. Ever since I dropped him as a self-insert, I rebranded older Deluxe to Classic Deluxe and made him a separate OC that is still a
friend of Deluxe. Obviously, since self-inserts are a thing in Mugen, I made Classic Deluxe as an older self-insert until the modern Deluxe
arrived.

1. CHANGELOG

-v1.5 (May 2, 2025)
- Added new mechanics:
 - Parry
 - Air Dash
- Added a throw.
- Revamped gameplay and combo system - Classic Deluxe now only uses three buttons for normals, though there's a catch - you can now chain a
light normal into another light normal into ANOTHER light normal, which can be also chained into a medium normal into a medium normal and
then a strong normal, though this only applies to standing normals. However, you can now chain a strong normal into a crouching normal for
comboing as doing so will move Classic Deluxe forward a little.
- Dodges and the power charge now use their unique buttons, using A for dodges and B for the power charge.
- Added a "Danger!" message. This shows up when Classic Deluxe's HP is down to 300 to alert the player that he'll be K.O.'d soon if he
doesn't K.O. his opponent.
- The A.I. has been adjusted even further, now being more aggressive!
- Modified plenty of moves' command inputs to be consistent with the new button layout.
- (Modern) Deluxe's attack has been changed.
- Config file has been removed due to the palette selector.
- Added a Hyper Combo Finish.
- Added a Guard Cancel.
- Shortened one character-specific intro.
- Replaced the hyper portrait with a completely new one.

-v1.4 (September 27, 2024)
- Added EX specials.
- Added a palette selector.
- Added a hyper background.
- Added new hitsparks.
- Modified the input for the hypers (except for Shun Deluxe Satsu) to make space for the EX specials.
- Three character-specific intros were removed, and a new one has been added.
- Adjusted the A.I.
- Added a new special, being a second assist.
- Replaced the 12th palette with a different one.
- Renamed the character to Classic Deluxe following my new self-insert's release.
- Glow Scratch's helper is now transparent.

-v1.3 (June 23, 2024)
- Win poses and intros now have the "roundnotover" and "Intro" AssertSpecials, respectively.
- Glow Sphere Kick's stronger versions had their vertical velocities increased.
- Added a new character-specific intro, a win pose and two victory quotes.
 - Also, three more victory quotes were added if Deluxe is paired with one certain character in simul matches.

-v1.2 (May 4, 2024)
- Deluxe is now slightly larger. While this makes him slightly easier to hit, it also slightly increases his range.
- Kaizo is now smaller. This makes him harder to hit at the cost of his range's decrease.
- Standing light punch and kick, along with standing medium punch, now have less hitstun if they hit the opponent to remove
any potential infinites.
- Added a jumping and landing sound effects.
- Slightly improved readme's style.
- Deluxe now runs backward instead of hoping.
- Added a dash dance mechanic. To perform this, run to the opposite direction while running.
- Beam Fire is now completely attached to Deluxe, so if a character with permament armor pushes him, the beam will be pushed as well.
- Fixed an oversight where Charging Kick and Glowing Diagonal Upwards Kick gave back power.

-v1.1.1 (April 8, 2024)
- Fixed a typo in one of the character-specific victory quotes; it now says "spear" instead of "speak".

-v1.1 (April 7, 2024)
- Tried to tweak head.pos and mid.pos (I know they might not be perfect but I haven't really experienced with them at all).
- Kaizo, Beam Fire and Glowing Diagonal Upwards Kick now can be blocked while standing, crouching and airbone instead of standing
(Kaizo), standing and being airbone (Beam Fire) and standing and crouching (Glowing Diagonal Upwards Kick), respectively.
- Fixed an oversight where one of the intros used an incorrect animation.
- Added one more character-specific victory quote.

-v1.0 (April 5, 2024)
- Everything - first release!

2. CONTROLS
(NOTE: The moves which have their buttons encased in square brackets ([ ]) means that they must be held down.)
(NOTE 2: Most specials have EX versions. They require 500 power to use and are stronger, but some have longer endlag. These also require two
buttons to be pressed.)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
NORMALS:
Light - X (can be done three times)
Medium - Y (can be done two times)
Hard - Z
Throw - C

You're able to chain a standing hard normal into a crouching light normal if you want to perform a combo.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
SPECIALS:

Glow Sphere: D, DF, F, X/Y/Z
- A simple projectile where Classic Deluxe fires a Glow Sphere from his arm, with velocity varying depending on the button pressed. Decent
zoning tool. Can be also used while airbone.
 - EX version: Fires two spheres, the second ones causes soft knockdown regardless of which state.

Diagonal Upwards Kick: B, DB, D, DF, F, X/Y/Z
- Classic Deluxe jumps forward, kicking the opponent. Horizontal distance varies depending on the button pressed. Good combo tool.
 - EX version: Increased distance, causes a wall bounce

Deluxe Uppercut: F, D, DF, F, X/Y/Z
- Classic Deluxe uppercuts the opponent and hits them 3 times. Cannot be blocked while airbone. Can be also performed while airbone and gives
invincibility during startup.
 - EX version: Increased distance.
  - This is also used for the Guard Cancel, performed by pressing X+Y during blockstun at the cost of 1000 power.

Glow Scratch: D, DB, B, X/Y/Z
- Classic Deluxe scratches the opponent, causing hard knockdown. Has only one variation, but is a great combo tool.

Glow Sphere Kick: F, DF, D, DB, B, X/Y/Z
- Classic Deluxe kicks a Glow Sphere form the ground, with varying velocity depending on the button pressed. Unlike the regular Glow Sphere,
however, the kick version can absorb enemy projectiles and does not disappear when hit, instead bouncing off the opponent's hitbox
if they hit it.
 - EX version: Sphere tracks the opponent's position.

Counter: B, F, X/Y/Z
- Classic Deluxe does a block-like pose, and if hit on frame 4, Deluxe counters the opponent's attack, causing hard wall bounce if the
opponent is close to a wall. This doesn't work against projectiles, however, instead giving him invincibility for frames 1-4.

Kaizo: [B], F, X
- Classic Deluxe summons Kaizo to scratch the opponent thrice. The last hit has a launcher property, allowing Deluxe to follow it up with an
aerial rave. When Deluxe wins/loses a round when Kaizo is still on-screen and hasn't fully disappeared yet, Kaizo will remain
on-screen until a new round starts (or if a match ends if Deluxe wins a match).

Deluxe: [B], F, Y
- Classic Deluxe summons Deluxe to throw his explosive shuriken, causing hard knockdown.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
HYPERS:

Sphere Barrage: D, DF, F, D, DF, F, X/Y/Z (uses 1000 power)
- A stronger version of Glow Sphere where Deluxe fires 14 projectiles, each causing soft knockdown. Can be also used while airbone.

Charging Kick: D, DB, B, D, DB, B, X/Y/Z (uses 1000 power)
- Deluxe charges into his opponent with a kick, causing hard knockdown. Good combo tool and can be also used while airbone. Can be
only blocked while standing. Inspired by the Falcon Kick.

Beam Fire: D, DF, F, D, DB, B, X/Y/Z (uses 2000 power)
- A projectile where Deluxe fires a beam from his hands. Reaches the other side of the screen and a great zoning tool if you want
to camp.

Glowing Diagonal Upwards Kick: D, DB, B, D, DF, F, X/Y/Z (uses 2000 power)
- A stronger version of Diagonal Upwards Kick where Deluxe kicks the opponent while jumping forward, though his leg will also glow.
Unlike Diagonal Upwards Kick, however, this move can be blocked regardless of which state the opponent currently is. Best used as a
combo tool.

Shun Deluxe Satsu, a.k.a Your Typical Raging Demon: X, X, F, Y, Z (uses 3000 power)
- Deluxe charges forward into his opponent, and beats the crap out of them once the screen fades to black. Cannot be blocked.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
OTHERS:

Dodge: A
- A very basic dodge where Deluxe dodges an opponent's attack, as long as it is not attributed as a throw. Holding forward allows him
to perform a forward dash dodge and vice versa when holding backward, mainly for escaping attacks that push him into them.

Power Charge: [B]
- Deluxe increases his power bar, as long as it is below 3000. Good when wanting to use hypers more often, though this leaves him
vulnerable while charging.

Parry: Forward just before the opponent's attack makes contact
- Deluxe parries an attack, negating all damage. The timing is quite precise, but it causes him to receive no damage. Can be performed while
airborne.

Air Dash: F, F or B, B (AIR ONLY)
- Deluxe dashes while airborne. An approaching tool, though it doesn't give him invincibility against anything. However, Deluxe can cancel it
into any of his aerials.

Super Jump: D, U
- A basic super jump (duh), best used for aerial raves.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

4. NOTES

- Do not make a spriteswap/paletteswap of him.
- Do not edit him without my permission.
- Even if I give you permission to edit him, do not make any bad edits that I do not like at all.

5. THINGS I'M AWARE OF

- The A.I. is not perfect, but I tried.

6. FAQ
(for some other questions, read here: https://sites.google.com/view/dxgsmugensite/faq)

Q: Who is that voice actor who voiced him?
A: I am the one who provided the voice clips for Deluxe. Yes, that's me talking in certain intros and moves. The assist, Kaizo, is
also voiced by me, but the pitch is a bit higher to reflect his smaller (and younger) apperance.

Q: Can I make a PotS- or OHMSBY-style edit of this dude?
A: No. This is because the PotS- and OHMSBY-styles are overused. I do support some Pots- or OHMSBY-style imitators, but only if
they're pretty much well-known creators like Jmorphman. You can still make any other recreations of this dude though, as long as only
animations and sprites were used, but after you do it, make sure you credit me (DeluxeGamer705) to avoid any possible problems when I
discover your edit.

Q: Can I make a vore edit of this?
A: NEVER. I am NOT allowing vore edits out of my characters, ESPECIALLY Classic Deluxe himself. If you EVER make a vore edit out of Classic
Deluxe and/or ANY of my characters and I discover it, you'll be eventually contacted to remove the vore edit you have made or problems will
happen and you might be in trouble.
