Deluxe (v1.2) by DeluxeGamer705
From: None! It's a self-insert.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

When I released a self-insert back in April, it one day following its moving as a regular OC instead of a self-insert when I redesigned my
persona. Because of this, I obviously had to make a new one to stay consistent. This one features a different moveset, while also retaining
Kaizo as an assist (though in a different way), along with Classic Deluxe as a new assist!

1. CHANGELOG

-v1.2 (May 2, 2025)
- Added new mechanics:
 - Parry
 - Air Dash
- Added a throw.
- Revamped gameplay and combo system - Deluxe now only uses three buttons for normals, though there's a catch - you can now chain a light
normal into another light normal into ANOTHER light normal, which can be also chained into a medium normal into a medium normal and then a
strong normal, though this only applies to standing normals. However, you can now chain a strong normal into a crouching normal for comboing
as doing so will move Deluxe forward a little.
- Dodges and the power charge now use their unique buttons, using A for dodges and B for the power charge.
- Added a "Danger!" message. This shows up when Deluxe's HP is down to 300 to alert the player that he'll be K.O.'d soon if he doesn't K.O.
his opponent.
- Rising Kick has been removed. I thought it's not that useful in my opinion, not to mention that the fact that Deluxe tends to float a bit
like that can leave him vulnerable for no reason.
- Adjusted the A.I.
- Modified plenty of moves' command inputs to be consistent with the new button layout.
- The ninja-based attacks have been replaced with completely new attacks as I've changed Deluxe's weapon into the Neon Bat. List of attacks
changed:
 - Shuriken Toss - Eye Sphere
 - Teleport Drop - Bat Swing Up
 - Vertical Shuriken - Ground Slam
 - Katana Slash - Bat Swing
 - Elemental Shuriken - Elemental Eye
 - Katana Counter - Bat Counter
 - Falling Shurikens - Multi Eye Sphere
 - Charging Slash - Bat Beatdown
 - Giant Shuriken - Hard Slam
- Forward and backward dodges now show Deluxe dashing instead of teleporting.
- One intro has been replaced.
- Added a Hyper Combo Finish.
- Added a Guard Cancel.
- Replaced the hyper portrait with a completely new one.

-v1.1b (October 20, 2024)
- Fixed Katana Counter's misplaced slashspark.

-v1.1 (October 20, 2024)
- Fixed an oversight where Neon Shuriken's hit animation incorrectly played ice shuriken's one.
- Teleport Drop's hitbox was adjusted, now it should hit some other characters easier.
- Some hitspark changes.
- Config file has been removed. This is because of the vars not working due to the palette selector.

-v1.0 (September 27, 2024)
- Everything - first release!

2. CONTROLS
(NOTE: The moves which have their buttons encased in square brackets ([ ]) means that they must be held down.)
(NOTE 2: Most specials have EX versions. They require 500 power to use and are stronger, but some have longer endlag. These also require two
buttons to be pressed.)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
NORMALS:
Light - X (can be done three times)
Medium - Y (can be done two times)
Hard - Z
Throw - C

You're able to chain a standing hard normal into a crouching light normal if you want to perform a combo.

MOVELIST:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
SPECIALS:

Eye Sphere: D, DF, F, X/Y/Z
- A simple projectile with varying velocity depending on the button pressed. Good zoning tool and can be used while airborne.
 - EX version: Fires two spheres.

Bat Swing Up: F, D, DF, F, X/Y/Z
- Deluxe swings his Neon Bat up, causing hard knockdown. Good combo tool and can be used while airborne. Vertical velocity varies depending
on the button pressed.
 - EX version: More distance.

Ground Slam: D, D, X/Y
- Deluxe stands in place, slamming the ground with his Neon Bat and knocking the opponent down. Can be a good combo tool.
 - EX version: Causes a ground bounce.

Bat Swing: D, DB, B, X/Y/Z
- Deluxe swings his Neon Bat once, causing a wall bounce. The Z version on the other hand makes him swing it twice. Great combo tool. This
move has an ability to reflect projectiles.
 - EX version: Has more knockback and Deluxe swings the Neon Bat 4 times.
  - This is also used for the Guard Cancel, performed by pressing X+Y during blockstun at the cost of 1000 power.

Elemental Eye: B, F, any punch (uses 330 power)
- Deluxe fires one of the elemental spheres (ice, neon, explosive) from any of his eyes, each causing a different effect and property.
 - Ice Sphere: Freezes the opponent. Good combo starter at the cost of very low damage. Hitting the sphere will still freeze the opponent.
 - Neon Sphere: Temporarily stuns the opponent while causing residual damage. Another combo starter, though this sphere cannot K.O. the
opponent.
 - Explosive Sphere: Knocks the opponent away, hitting the shuriken will deal 10 damage. Only this shuriken can be cancelled into from
Deluxe's normals as the ice and neon ones could lead into infinites. Also, its endlag is three times longer compared to the regular Eye Sphere.
  - Ice and neon spheres cannot be used if the opponent is frozen or poisoned.

Monochrome Eyes: F, DF, D, DB, B, X/Y/Z
- Deluxe blinks, causing his eyes to become monochromatic for a bit, firing a small beam that makes the opponent dizzy for a bit. Great
combo starter, though it deals no damage and it cannot be cancelled from any of his normals to prevent infinites. The move is also not usable
if the opponent is in guardstun.

Bat Counter: D, D, Z
- Similar to Bat Swing, except that Deluxe swings his Neon Bat after being hit. Note that the counter does not last for the move's entire
duration, so make sure you remember when he can be hit!

Kaizo: [B], F, X
- Kaizo walks onto the opponent, launching them with his claw. Can lead to aerial raves.

Classic Deluxe: [B], F, U
- Classic Deluxe uses his Glow Scratch to scratch the opponent, causing hard knockdown.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
HYPERS:

Multi Eye Sphere: D, DF, F, D, DF, F, X/Y/Z (uses 1000 power)
- Deluxe fires 18 spheres from his eyes, each causing hard knockdown.

Sudden Kick: D, DB, B, D, DB, B, X/Y/Z (uses 1000 power)
- Deluxe suddenly charges into the opponent, kicking them and causing a wall bounce. Good combo tool and can be used while airborne.

Bat Beatdown: D, DF, F, D, DB, B, X/Y/Z (uses 2000 power)
- Deluxe slightly goes forward, swinging his Neon Bat. If the move connects, he'll follow up with an automatic combo before slamming the
opponent onto the ground. Excellent combo tool.

Flashing Monochrome: D, DB, B, D, DF, F, X/Y/Z (uses 2000 power)
- Deluxe blinks, followed by any of his eyes flashing a beam. This is a stronger version of Monochrome Eyes, though this move does not stun
the opponent and instead knocks them back after a few hits. Great combo tool in general.

Hard Slam: B, F, B, F, X/Y/Z (uses 3000 power)
- A stronger version of Ground Slam that has a hitbox covering the entire floor. However, it can be blocked regardless of which state the
opponent is, though this move causes a ground bounce.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
OTHERS:

Dodge: A
- A very basic dodge where Deluxe dodges an opponent's attack, as long as it is not attributed as a throw. Holding forward or backward allows
him to perform a dash, mainly for escaping attacks that push him into them.

Power Charge: [B]
- Deluxe increases his power bar, as long as it is below 3000. Good when wanting to use hypers more often, though this leaves him
vulnerable while charging.

Parry: Forward just before the opponent's attack makes contact
- Deluxe parries an attack, negating all damage. The timing is quite precise, but it causes him to receive no damage. Can be performed while
airborne.

Air Dash: F, F or B, B (AIR ONLY)
- Deluxe dashes while airborne. An approaching tool, though it doesn't give him invincibility against anything. However, Deluxe can cancel it
into any of his aerials.

Super Jump: D, U
- A basic super jump (duh), best used for aerial raves.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

4. NOTES

- Do not make a spriteswap/paletteswap of him.
- Do not edit him without my permission.
- Even if I give you permission to edit him, do not make any bad edits that I do not like at all.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
5. THINGS I'M AWARE OF

- The A.I. is not perfect, but I tried.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
6. FAQ
(for some other questions, read here: https://sites.google.com/view/dxgsmugensite/faq)

Q: Why is the projectile immunity against only one character?
A: Well, that character is rather popular, but it is very flawed, not good in the slightest, as it is overpowered and has a spammy
A.I. Its projectile is notably overpowered and spammy, so I had to create something that would at least counter that projectile, and
I came up with this.

Q: Who is that voice actor who voiced him?
A: I am the one who provided the voice clips for Deluxe. Yes, that's me talking in certain intros and moves. The assists, Kaizo and Classic
Deluxe, are also voiced by me, but the pitch for Kaizo is a bit higher to reflect his smaller (and younger) apperance. Also, both Deluxe and
Classic Deluxe have the same voice!

Q: Can I make a PotS- or OHMSBY-style edit of this dude?
A: No. This is because the PotS- and OHMSBY-styles are overused. I do support some Pots- or OHMSBY-style imitators, but only if
they're pretty much well-known creators like Jmorphman. You can still make any other recreations of this dude though, as long as only
animations and sprites were used, but after you do it, make sure you credit me (DeluxeGamer705) to avoid any possible problems when I
discover your edit.

Q: Can I make a vore edit of this?
A: NEVER. I am NOT allowing vore edits out of my characters, ESPECIALLY Deluxe himself. If you EVER make a vore edit out of Deluxe
and/or ANY of my characters and I discover it, you'll be eventually contacted to remove the vore edit you have made or problems will
happen and you might be in trouble.
