============================================

I'm no superhero comics fan, but I'm pretty sure I know this Southern belle
damn well... I ought to, after spending dozens of hours converting her for MUGEN!
Anyhow, this is Rogue, a super-powered mutant from Marvel Comics's cash cow, the
X-Men series. This version of her is pulled from her first appearance in a Capcom
fighting game, X-Men vs. Street Fighter, which was released in early '97. When she
appeared for the second time, in Marvel vs. Capcom 2, the function of her Power
Drain special (pivotal to her success) was significantly changed. In her MUGEN
version, I've tried to incorporate parts of both styles, with some extra stuff of
my own.  Hope you like!

(Oh yeah, and the little flashing "POW" icon is from Capcom's SonSon arcade game. ^_^)

WHAT'S NEW IN 1.2d:
- Not much. Basically, I noticed that she didn't have the ability to cancel into a
  Goodnight Sugah from a Repeating Punch, as she does in MvC2. So, I put it in, but it's
  only available in Power-Up Stealing Mode.
- I really added the "d" to the version number to signify a whole lot of changes I've made
  to Rogue since the last "official" release on 5/13. Before, I just modified the archive
  on my website, not really making any sort of announcement. I realize now that this is
  bad policy, so I've decided to alter the version number whenever I make an update from now
  on.

WHAT'S NEW IN 1.1:
- New "super finish" backgrounds!
- Goodnight Sugah was changed to avoid the opponent somehow slipping out of the autocombo.
- Added button mashing to the Rising Repeating Punch.
- Lots of tweaks and fixes.

WHAT'S NEW IN 1.2:
- Push blocking added!
- Dive Punch now acts more like it does in MvC2.
- The usual tweaks and fixes.

WHAT'S NEW IN 2.0:
- See attached whatsnew.txt

======================================================================
System:
Rogue is a 6-button character, like most Capcom fighters.

In case you don't know the layout, here's how it works:

    x y z
    a b c

x = Jab Punch	  y = Strong Punch   z = Fierce Punch
a = Short Kick    b = Forward Kick   c = Roundhouse Kick

Tap forward twice OR two punches - Dash forwards
Tap back twice - Dash backwards

Rogue can also dash in midair. Just tap F, F or press two punches when she's airborne.

She is also capable of "super jumps", which rocket her skyward (and offscreen in the
case of most MUGEN backgrounds. :P). Tap down, and then jump to super jump.

Rogue can chain most of her weaker normal attacks into stronger attacks, for
example:

Standing Jab -> Standing Strong -> Standing Fierce (3-hit combo)

Rogue can also Air Combo her opponents after landing a standing roundhouse or a ducking
fierce. When the move connects, just press up or up-forward to follow the enemy, and
unleash additional attacks at your discretion.

Rogue may be able to roll away from her opponent when she hits the ground after a
fall. When falling, press B, DB, D, and any button.

Push Blocking: While blocking an attack, press two punch buttons to push the enemy away.

She has a regular standing throw, and an aerial throw.

=======================================================================
PLAY MODE

Rogue has two different play modes, which are activated by choosing certain
palletes on the character select screen. They are as follows:

*-> POWER-UP STEALING MODE - Her Power Drain functions much like its Marvel vs Capcom 2
incaration; connecting with it grants Rogue a random power-up, which lasts for 11 seconds.
The possible power-ups are:
	* Defense Up (Rogue takes half damage)
	* Power Up (Rogue's attacks do 1.25x normal damage)
	* Speed Up (Rogue becomes really, really fast)
	* Super Armor (Single attacks will not stun)
	* Life Up (a small health boost is instantly granted)

Power-Up Stealing Mode is selected with the standard colors.

*-> STOLEN MOVE MODE - This is a bit more complex. If you choose this mode, you won't
see Rogue when the stage fades in; instead there will be a random XmVSF character standing
in her place. Rogue will then dash onto the screen and grab the character, draining his or her
powers. Then, for the rest of the match, Rogue will be able to perform one of that character's
special attacks, and one of his/her supers.

This mode is chosen by holding Start while selecting Rogue on the character select screen.

The characters and moves available are as follows:
	* Cammy
		SPECIAL: Cannon Drill
		SUPER: Spin Drive Smasher
	* Cyclops
		SPECIAL: Optic Blast
		SUPER: Mega Optic Blast
	* Dhalsim
		SPECIAL: Yoga Flame
		SUPER: Yoga Inferno
	* Juggernaut
		SPECIAL: Earthquake
		SUPER: Headcrush
	* Ken
		SPECIAL: Shoryuken
		SUPER: Shoryureppa
	* Magneto
		SPECIAL: Hyper Grav
		SUPER: Magnetic Shockwave
	* Ryu
		SPECIAL: Hadoken
		SUPER: Shinkuu Hadoken
	* Zangief
		SPECIAL: Spinning Piledriver
		SUPER: Final Atomic Buster
	* Gouki/Akuma
		SPECIAL: Zanko Hadoken (air fireball)
		SUPER: Tenma Zankuu Hadou
		EXTRA SUPER: Shun Goku Satsu (aka Raging Demon - Level 3 only)

To do the stolen special:
	D, DF, F, Kick

Doing a stolen super is a bit more tricky. Rogue must first Power Drain the opponent, and
receive a flashing "POW" icon. When the POW is floating just below Rogue's feet, you'll know
you can do a stolen super combo. The command is:
	D, DF, F, 2 Kicks
			... Unless you're imitating Gouki, in which case the super combo is:
	x, x, F, a, z (ie jab, jab, forward(direction), short, fierce)

SPECIAL NOTE: You can actually choose the character from whom to steal your moves. When the
stage finishes fading in, press "start" before the randomly chosen character's intro animation
begins. You'll know you've succeeded if the words "SELECT MOVE" appear onscreen. Then, press
up or down to cycle through the various choices, and press "start" again to confirm.

------------==========================================================------------------------
---|>SPECIALS<|---

Rogue has these moves at all times, regardless of what mode she's in.

Legend: (D = Down, DF = Down-forward, F = forward, B = back... you get the idea)

------------------------------------------------------------------

POWER DRAIN - Rogue's bread and butter. It has a short range and does very little damage,
but as described above, it's essential to using her effectively. It's also unblockable, and
can be done on the ground or in the air.

Command: D, DB, B, kick

----------------------------

REPEATING PUNCH - Rogue flies forward, swinging her fists at the enemy. This also can be
performed on the ground and in midair. The strength of the punch button used determines
the speed, distance travelled, and number of punches.

Command: D, DF, F, punch

----------------------------

RISING REPEATING PUNCH - An anti-air version of the Repeating Punch. Delivers three hits
if timed correctly, but can only be done while on the ground.

Command: F, D, DF, F, punch

Note: Press punch repeatedly while Rogue is executing the move for an extra hit.

----------------------------

DIVING PUNCH - Rogue rises into the air, spins briefly, and shoots diagonally downward,
delivering several hits. The strength of kick determines the height of the attack.

Command: F, D, DF, F, kick

Note: If you're playing in Power-Up Stealing Mode, you can press kick at any time during the
ascent to dive early.

----------------------------

DIVING KICK - Rogue dives downward foot-first.

Command: In midair, D + HK

========================================================
---|>SUPER MOVES<|---

All require 1 level of energy

--------------------------------------------------------------------

GOODNIGHT SUGAH - After a brief pause, Rogue dashes forward. If she hits, she pummels
the enemy, knocks them skyward, and catches them in midair for a Power Drain kiss.

Command: D, DF, F, punchx2

-----------------------------------

REPEATING PUNCH ASSAULT - Rogue does a faster, more damaging version of her Repeating
Punch, and without the uppercut at the end.

Command: D, DB, B, punchx2

Thanks To:

-> ss, for making an essential third-party MUGEN character creating
   tool, MCM. If you have any intention of making your own fighters, you MUST have
   this.  Get it at http://teleline.terra.es/personal/moi.ses
-> Razoola and CPS2Shock (http://cps2shock.retrogames.com) for their tireless efforts
   that eventually led to the emulation of Capcom's CPS-2 arcade hardware. Finally,
   we are freed from the horrendous animation of PSX ports! ;)
-> Dave, although he has stopped development of Final Burn. It still helped me with sound
   recording and animation timing.
-> CrashTest, for the sprite ripping tool SFMAME (look for it at CPS2Shock's download page).
   Absolutely ESSENTIAL for CPS-2 sprite ripping. I can't even begin to imagine how painful
   this character would have been to make without it.
-> Ragnarok Nemo for the AWESOME all-in-one MUGEN character editor, MEE. It saved me a lot
   of time and trouble. Just *please*, *please* put an AIR editor in eventually. ;)
-> Capcom, for continuing to put out enjoyable 2D fighting games.
-> Elecbyte, for producing MUGEN - of course.
