============================================

Not much introducing needed for this guy, if you've played any of Capcom's outstanding
Darkstalkers series. He's green, has fins, and is a bit on the creepy side, but
Rikuo can still kick ass - I made sure of that. ;) Anyway, have fun using him,
'cause I certainly had fun making him (most of the time).

======================================================================
System:
Rikuo is a 6-button character, like most Capcom fighters. Some of the motions for
his moves have been simplified for the benefit of keyboard users.

In case you don't know the layout, here's how it works:

    x y z
    a b c

x = Jab Punch	  y = Strong Punch   z = Fierce Punch
a = Short Kick    b = Forward Kick   c = Roundhouse Kick

Tap forward twice - Dash forwards
Tap back twice - Hop backwards

Rikuo can chain most of his weaker normal attacks into stronger attacks, for
example:

Standing Jab -> Standing Strong -> Standing Fierce (3 or 4-hit combo, depending on your timing)

He has a regular standing throw, and an aerial throw.

All of Rikuo's special moves have enhanced, or "ES" versions. Just press two punch or kick buttons
instead of one. This takes 1 level of super energy, so use ES moves at your own discretion. You'll
know if you've succesfully done an ES move when Rikuo flashes blue.

While guarding, Rikuo can perform a Guard Cancel counterattack with a F, D, DF, F, kick motion.

Also while guarding, tap a button rapidly to do a "Tech Hit" advancing guard.

When he is knocked down, Rikuo can roll forward or backward while getting up. Hold left or right to
do so.

Special Moves:
Legend: (D = Down, DF = Down-forward, F = forward, B = back... you get the idea)

------------------------------------------------------------------

Sonic Wave -
A wave of sound which stuns opponents for a second or two.

COMMAND: Charge back briefly, then F + Punch

ES Effect: The wave is larger, and has much greater range.

----------------------------

Poison Breath -
Rikuo fires a jet of poison from his gills, which
stuns opponents briefly. The strength of the kick button determines
how far it shoots.

COMMAND: Charge back briefly, then F + Kick

ES Effect: The cloud is three times as large.

----------------------------

Trick Fish -
Rikuo leaps into the air feet-first, and bounces back if he hits
his foe. Strength of kick button determines height and distance.

COMMAND: BB, kick OR
hold kick, BB, release kick OR
	 F, D, DF, F, Kick

ES Effect: The height and distance are the same as the forward kick version, but it will do 3
	   hits if it connects.

EXTRA:
This move doubles as Rikuo's Guard Cancel. Do the third motion listed above
while blocking or recoiling from blocking.

----------------------------

Cataract Cry -
Rikuo grabs his opponent, jumps with him/her into the air, punches them
twice, and hurls them to the ground. This move is considered a special throw, which means
that Rikuo must be right next to his opponent for it to work. There is no "whiff" animation,
unfortunately.

COMMAND: F, DF, D, DB, B, Punch

ES Effect: Rikuo hits the opponent more times, for more damage.

----------------------------

Gem's Anger -
Rikuo grabs his opponent, tosses them into the air with his tongue, and turns
into a giant clam which shoots a barrage of huge pearls at them. Also a special throw which
requires Rikuo to be beside his opponent.

COMMAND: F, DF, D, DB, B, Kick

ES Effect: Rikuo does a Trick Fish after the last pearl.

----------------------------

Drill Kick -
Rikuo spins through the air at a downward angle with feet extended.

COMMAND: In the air, D + Roundhouse Kick

----------------------------

Shell Drill -
Rikuo changes his body into a shell, which hits multiple times.

Dash Forward, Fierce Punch

========================================================
SUPER MOVES (all require 1 level of energy):

--------------------------------------------------------------------

Aqua Spread -
Rikuo turns his arms into tentacles and launches a glob of water at the ground in front of
him. The glob becomes a tracer which will explode into a column of water when it contacts
the opponent or a button is pressed. Any opponents hit by the column will be thrown into the
air and take damage.

COMMAND: F, DF, D, 2xKick

-----------------------------------

Water Jail -
Rikuo creates a gigantic bubble, which floats slowly in the opponent's direction. If it hits, the
opponent will be trapped inside and slowly suffer damage for several seconds. If Rikuo is hit before
the bubble connects, it will pop. THE BUBBLE IS UNBLOCKABLE.

COMMAND: D, DB, B, 2xPunch

------------------------------------

Sea Rage -
Rikuo fills the screen with powerful tidal waves that hit for heavy damage.

COMMAND: B, DB, D, DF, F, 2xPunch

------------------------------------

Direct Scissors -
Rikuo performs his crouching Hard Punch from the original Darkstalkers. It must be blocked high,
and consumes 3 super levels.

COMMAND: D, D, 2xPunch

=========================================================

THE DARK FORCE
--------------------------------
This is a special mode which Rikuo can enter once he attains 1 level of super energy.
Waves fill the screen, and a horseshoe crab appears for him to ride on. While he is
on the crab, all moves become low normals (chainable as usual), Rikuo can move in all
directions, and he can dash forward or backward. He cannot block while in this state, but
he is not stunned by enemy attacks; nor can he be thrown. Dark Force mode ends after about
10 seconds, or it can be cancelled at any time by pressing FP+RK again.

COMMAND: Fierce Punch + Roundhouse Kick simultaneously

   "shocked" animation.

Thanks To:

-> NeoGouki (http://ngmc.retrogames.com), for showing me how to work around some
of the annoyances of sprite ripping, plus for ripping Rikuo's standing fierce
   without me even asking. ;)
-> ss, for making the MUGEN character creating tool, MCM. Get it at

-> Ragnarok Nemo, for the awesome all-in-one MUGEN character editor, MEE. An absolute must-
download for any character maker. http://mrev.infara.net/ragnarok/
-> Razoola and CPS2Shock (http://cps2shock.retrogames.com) for their tireless efforts
that eventually led to the emulation of Capcom's CPS-2 arcade hardware. Finally,
we are freed from the horrendous animation of PSX ports! ;)
-> Dave, for his awesome CPS-2 and Sega emulator, Final Burn (http://www.finalburn.com).
He deserves extra thanks for listening to his users - without the background-disabling
option, ripping Rikuo's sprites would have been MUCH harder than it already was.
-> CrashTest, for the sprite ripping tool SFMAME (look for it at CPS2Shock's download page).
Without it, Rikuo would probably never have been finished.
-> Capcom, for continuing to put out enjoyable 2D fighting games.
-> Elecbyte, for producing MUGEN - of course.
